The Neuron Animator "NeurAnim" is software to animate the results of neuronal network simulations or measurements. In a nutshell the software transforms a simple description of the geometry and activity of a network of neurons and transforms it to a 3D animation. The software can also generate frames for movie generation in jpg format.
The software uses the OpenGL extension of QT and needs a current version of QT (>= qt3) installed. Otherwise everything is standard C++ or included in the distribution. It has been tested on RedHat Fedora II with QT 3.3.
This software has originally been programmed for my personal use and is not necessarily useful for any particular problem. If you have suggestions for improvements, however, or feel inclined to include such improvements yourself, please let me know and appropriate changes can be incorporated in future versions.

The file example.avi is an example movie
generated with NeurAnim and encoded with mencoder (see mplayer homepage mplayer home ) using
ffmpeg's lavc codecs.
