Fractal Video Compression
There are various ways of using fractal methods to compress
video (several are disscussed in my book
of collected articles). At this
site you can load the following things:
- A terse
paper in postscript on one method.
Beware: This paper is big (725,407 bytes), so you
may want to get the version
without figures (61,975 bytes).
- You can get a fractally-compressed version of the "missa" sequence
(the original is available from
ipl.rpi.edu )
at two compression ratios:
- To see these sequences, you will need a viewer. Only an
SGI binary is
currently available.
